What Do You Understand By Frameless Framing

Pictures on the walls are not a new tradition. People have been hanging pictures on their walls for quite a long time. These pictures are either related to their family or some art work. People visiting your place find it very amusing to see these pictures and in many cases,  they cannot separate themselves from these pictures and cannot resist admiring them. There are number of techniques through which you can hang these pictures on your wall. Framing pictures is one of the very classic technique. But now a day there is a latest trend of frameless framing. In frameless framing, there is no especial frame that keeps the photo together but the photo is floating without any sort of frame.

Now a days there are good acrylic holder as well which works as acrylic picture frames. This gives a very unique and elegant look to the picture and is kind of very different from the traditional hanging framing method.

Some painting does not require framings because framings somewhat divert the focus from the original painting. If you have ever come across some oil paintings in your life either in someone’s house or in some museum you will notice that these pictures are not framed. The reason why many paintings and pictures are framed is to save these and protect these against the external environmental factors so that these could retain their colour and texture for over a longer period of time. But in case of the oil paintings, these painting by their texture and colour are very durable. The oil paints used in these painting retain their texture for quite a long time and after the making of the oil paintings. These paintings are usually coated with a material of varnish. This varnish gives the paintings a new finish which increases its durability.

A kind of technique that is used in the framing of oil paintings are the glassless painting. The idea of frameless framing is also known as floating framing in which the picture is assumed to be floating and an ultra violet acrylic is used to cover the paintings for the protection. The major problem that the glass frame provided was the reflection problem. In most of the cases where the painting or the picture was hung, there was sunlight coming and the glass reflected the sunlight due to which the picture was not visible or blurred. This problem is also eliminated by the use of glassless frame because the acrylic sheet does not reflect as the glass does.
